Atelier Ecluse specializes in book craft, bringing together under one roof the facilities required for handmade papermaking, fine art printing, and bookbinding.

We offer a range of high-end stationery products, prized for writing, drawing, painting, and various other artistic practices. We also provide custom production services for printing and bookbinding.

Located on the banks of the Lachine Canal, Atelier Ecluse exists alongside the industrial heritage and manufacturing history that have shaped this part of Montréal. We believe in the excellence of traditional craftsmanship and its relevance today.

Yannick Allen-V. is a contemporary artisan and artist based in Montreal. After several years working in the world of paper and bookbinding, he founded Atelier Ecluse in 2022 as a meeting platform for practitioners interested in the subject of books.

Our three lines of journal are entirely made by hand in our ateliers. Our products contain exclusively 100% cotton handmade paper, ideal for writing and drawing with dry or wet medium. Each step of fabrication employs traditional techniques and equipment, ensuring the exceptional caliber of our work.
